The Begging skill serves two primary purposes. On land, players may beg non-player characters for a chance to receive very small amounts of gold. At sea, players may use the Begging skill to motivate their crewmembers, increasing their combat effectiveness.

Motivating
Players may now use the Begging skill on Ship Crewmembers onboard a ship to "motivate" them and improve their combat effectiveness for a limited duration

Motivated ship crewmembers receive a bonus to their Wrestling skill equal to (12.5% * (Player Begging Skill / 100)) for 5 minutes
Use of the Begging skill while aboard a ship will automatically motivate all crewmembers and will not provide a targeting reticle.
Only the captain of a ship can motivate crewmembers
Players should now be able to gain Begging skill by motivating Crew Members on ships
