Description
- The Camping skill improves a player’s carrying capacity for items and weight.
- Players can use a Dagger on trees to create kindling, or can craft multiple kindling with the Carpentry skill.
- Kindling can be used to make a campfire.
- After a short duration, a player's campsite will become 'secure'.
- Near a secure campfire players can perform 'Hiking' to fast travel to a vast array of locations in an Atlas.
- Players can also use a Bedroll near a secure campfire instantly log out from most locations (excluding dungeons).

- Camping is a good skill in the beginning for raising all of stats (Str, Dex, Int) in the newbie dungeon on Shelter Island. Note that the camping skill must be set to UP (to gain skill) for you to gain stats, but it need not gain skill. You could, for example, be at the skill cap of 700 and have all other skills locked and still gain stats from camping. You not only get a chance when you start the fire, but gain continuously standing next to it for the full 10 minutes.
Buffs
- The Camping skill increases a player's backpack maximum weight capacity by (200 stones * (Camping Skill / 100))
- The skill also increases a player's backpack maximum item count allowed by (50 * (Camping Skill / 100))
- Campfires made by players take (Between 57 and 60 seconds - (45 seconds * (Camping Skill / 100))) seconds to secure, based on the camping skill of the campfire creator
- Players will no longer have a Buff Icon for the Camping skill (since it is always active)
PvM
- A player does an additional Base Weapon Damage * (25% * (Camping Skill / 100)) Supplemental damage per weapon hit against creatures.
- A player receives a Supplemental spell damage bonus against creatures of (25% * (Camping Skill / 100))
PvP
- A player does an additional Base Weapon Damage * (10% * (Camping Skill / 100)) Supplemental Melee damage per weapon hit against players.
- A player receives a Supplemental spell damage bonus against other players of (10% * (Camping Skill / 100))
Hiking
- Players can "Hike" to travel to destinations that can be found within the Atlas, with a minimum of 60 Camping skill, including Custom spots.
- Players can Hike to destinations in their Atlas Book without securing a campfire if they currently have an active Exploration Effect in place

When a player hikes to an Atlas destination, they are frozen in place for 5 seconds before being sent to their destination. Players begin with 3 Custom Location entries. Players can unlock 2 additional Custom Location Entries (for all characters on their account) by purchasing the Drifter Player Enhancement. Players can also unlock 4 additional Custom Locations Entries (for all characters on their account) by purchasing the Wayfarer Player Enhancement.
