The ''Test Shard'' also known as the Test Center or Test Server is a second officially hosted server that mirrors a recent live shard save, but gives players near unlimited access to resources, instant travel to most places in the world and the ability to max level most progression systems.
Joining the Test Shard
Players are given the choice to select either the live "UO Outlands" shard or the "Test Server" after logging into the client and selecting an account.
Only characters created before the last save that the Test Shard was updated with will be shown in the Character Selection menu.

Restrictions
- Players cannot enter Time Dungeon
- Players cannot open sealed Paragon Chests
- Players may not attack other players without their consent or otherwise interfere with players' testing activities

Mechanics
- Echoes can be swapped and Codexes can have their points reset freely, without waiting for their cooldown (Will still show the cooldown)
- Every 24 hours, at midnight UTC (same time of day as Friday reset), all houses and inn rooms will be cleared, this allows players to freely test housing placement without other houses getting in the way.

Resources
Test Shard Resources are available at the town centers of North Prevalia and Corpse Creek, Prevalia having two sets, one on either side of the fountain. Resources in include fully stocked version of most storage items as well as Player and Ship Editors, described below.
