Question
Answer
Echoes are a stored snapshot of your character's Stats and Skills at a specific time [1]. You can unlock multiple Echoes, with each subsequent Echo increasing the purchase cost by an additional factor [1]. You can access the Echoes system by typing [Echo or [Echoes in game [2]. The left side of the menu shows your current Stats and Skills; if you have an Echo, its Stats and Skills appear on the right side [2]. If you do not have an Echo, you can create one from your current Stats and Skills by pressing the Diamond button at the top of the menu near "Create Echo of Current Character" [2]. Creating an Echo has a substantial cost, and you can use the arrow keys at the top of the menu to rotate through payment options; the currency is taken from your bank, backpack, or aspect menu (for essence) [2]. When you create an Echo, it immediately adopts your character's current Stats and Skills [3]. To use it, click the Activate Echo button on the right side of the page [3]. Activating an Echo immediately sets your Stats and Skills to match the stored Echo and stores your old Stats and Skills in the Echo slot, effectively making your old Stats and Skills your new Echo [3]. After activation, all of your skills become Locked and you must click them up or down if you want them to change going forward [3]. Echoes only swap Stats and Skills: murder count and other player-specific attributes are not reverted [3]. You can Activate an Echo at most once every 12 hours [1][3]. If a cooldown is in place, you can view how long remains at the bottom of the page [3]. You cannot Activate an Echo if you have been in any form of PvP in the last 5 minutes or any form of combat in the last 2 minutes [1]. You also cannot Create or Activate an Echo while in the Arena [1]. The Jack & Jill and Quick Change Enhancements can reduce the 12-hour cooldown to 6 hours, 1 hour, and 15 minutes [1].
